Choose by the special action you want
When a browser level allows character choice, choose Segway Guy for a Space-bar jump, Wheelchair Guy for a controllable jet, or Explorer Guy for a minecart that can attach to rails. A level creator can also select the character for you.
Space, Shift, and Ctrl perform different special actions depending on your racer. Irresponsible Dad, Moped Couple, and Santa Claus also use C to switch the camera to their companions.
Browser roster and special controls
- Wheelchair Guy: use Shift and Ctrl to rotate the wheelchair's jet, then press Space to fire it.
- Segway Guy: press Space to jump on the Segway, and use Shift and Ctrl to change posture.
- Irresponsible Dad: ride a bicycle with a child. Press Space to brake, use Shift and Ctrl to eject individual riders, and press C to switch the camera to the child.
- Irresponsible Mom: ride the family bicycle. Press Space to brake, and use Shift and Ctrl to eject individual riders.
- Effective Shopper: the woman with a shopping cart uses Space to jump.
- Moped Couple: press Space for a speed boost and Ctrl to brake. Shift ejects the woman, and C switches the camera to her.
- Lawnmower Man: press Space to jump with the lawnmower. He can also mow over people and some objects.
- Explorer Guy: use Shift and Ctrl to lean in the minecart, and hold Space to attach the cart to rails.
- Santa Claus: press Space to float. Shift releases the elves after they are injured, and C switches the camera to them.
- Pogostick Man: hold Space to charge a larger bounce on the pogo stick, and use Shift and Ctrl to change posture.
- Helicopter Man: press Space to release the magnet, and use Shift and Ctrl to raise and lower it.
When the course chooses your racer
Character choice depends on the level: you may use a racer you selected, or the creator may select one for you. Use the special controls for the character assigned to that course.
For level creators, the editor displays a warning when uploading a level without forcing a character.
